Managing a magic school is a lot of fun, but it can be a lot of work too. As a headmaster or headmistress, you should be committed to providing your students with the best learning experience possible. After all, studying magic is already hard! As you increase your school’s level, new classes will unlock, and because it’s a magic academy, these new classes aren’t your usual academic subjects. For instance, Time Repair Level 1 – how cool is that?
Every few minutes, your students gain knowledge of these classes, which in turn raises their magical level. If you build your class for the first time, it would start as level 1. Classes in Magic School Story can be upgraded up to level 3. Making new information available to your students is vital to their success as a great mage. However, there are several factors that you need to consider before advancing to the next class level.
Upgrading a class is as easy as 1..2.. no, seriously, they added a button for that and it says “upgrade”. You click on that and you get a new window that lists the resource requirements – the elemental resources (fire, water, wind, and earth) and in some classes – the light and dark resources, the amount of gold needed to pay for that upgrade, and the time needed to complete the process.
If you decide to go through the upgrade, your current level 1 class would be unavailable to students. It would have the fairy workers around it and you will see the timer. This class will not earn money while it’s upgrading. Plus, once it’s done, it will automatically become a level 2 class, and you will lose your level 1 class, leaving your students (new and old ones) no other option but to take that advanced class. This could affect their exam results and self-morale if they fail the new advanced subject.
Thus, if you’re planning to upgrade a class to level 2, you need two classes of that subject. Leave one class to level 1, and upgrade the other level 1 to level 2. The same goes for upgrading a class to level 3. You need 3 classes of the same subject, as shown below:
- Elements Level 1: Stays at level 1
- Elements Level 1: Upgrade this to level 2
- Elements Level 1: Upgrade this to level 2, and then upgrade this new level 2 to level 3
Once a class gets to level 3, that would be its last upgrade, and you’ll see an increase in your earnings and your students’ scores.
