How to Get Tyrstones in Magic School Story
You may have noticed an odd requirement when you tried to upgrade a class in your magic academy. After learning how to properly upgrade your classes from level 1 to level 2, you’re now ready to upgrade them to level 3.
But wait, what is that colorful thing? Upgrading a class to level 3 requires more resources (fire, water, wind, earth, light, and dark – depending on the class) and rare stone, called the Tyrstone. This stone cannot be gathered from the match-3 games, and can only be acquired when you send your professors to adventures, and through the orb trader located outside your school.
After a certain number of school expansions, the orb trader’s services will unlock, opening its shop and allowing you to trade unused elemental resources on weekdays, for example, your fire resources to wind. During the weekends, however, you will be allowed to trade your unused resources for a Tyrstone.
Since this material is rare, you will be asked to trade a handful of your resources for (1) one stone, which is enough to upgrade a single class to level 3.
You may also get Tyrstones when your professors return from adventures if you’re lucky.
Since you also need elemental and light/dark resources when upgrading your classes, your inventory will probably have dwindled by the time the trade for Tyrstones becomes available.
In this case, you may gather resources by clicking the yellow arrow and choosing ‘Gather’ in order to maximize the weekend trade and get as many Tyrstones as you can.
Or you may ask a friend to help you mine for resources.
The match-3 gathering game requires ‘hearts’ in order to play, limited to a maximum of five hearts. Each heart regenerates for 11 minutes, so you can have another full set after around 55 minutes if you’re counting.
We’ve listed several low-level maps, where you can get the maximum amount of stars (needed to cast spells for your school) and resource materials needed for your class upgrades, or Tyrstone trading. These maps totally depend on your interests, so you may opt for another map if you find their quests easier to complete.
